Brothbarrie is a province town located in the northwest of England and borders Scotland. It lies on the right bank of the Rot River and occupies an area of 493.3 km², and is located in Saint Lucy Valley The town has a population of just over 1,230, making it the least populated town in the United Kingdom. Brothbarry is managed by local and national authorities.

By virtue of its geographical location, Brothbarrie has fertile arable land and a skilled workforce. Known for growing berries, but also numerous other agricultural crops, the main source of income is production and export.

The history of Brothbarrie goes back to the Middle Ages (11th century to be precise) and two brothers. According to folklore, Aoughus and Baltair Barrie, children of a wealthy goldsmith family, left to find their place in the world when they came of age. In the middle of their journey they found themselves in a thick forest. They were overcome by darkness and decided to spend the night there. They soon started building a house for themselves. It was a small house, just big enough so that they wouldn't sleep under the night sky. Travelers, who would find themselves in the forest, would find rest in the house. Over time, new houses began to sprout in the forest canopy and the brothers were no longer alone.

At the beginning of the 13th century, the small community became a smaller town, which was named Na Bràithrean Barrie, in honor of its founders.

In 1723, the city received the status of a province and the city entered its golden age, which lasted until the end of the 19th century. There is a sudden increase in the population and intensive agricultural production begins. The city is being modernized, with great social inequality emerging where communities are grouped into neighborhoods based on economic status.

At the beginning of the 20th century there was mass displacement in Brothbarry and the town fell into a huge economic crisis. In 1915, the export of goods stopped and many citizens were on the verge of poverty. The city was not affected by the Great War, but the state government was not able to alleviate the consequences of the crisis. After the end of the war (more precisely in 1920), the consequences began to calm down.

In the period from 1935 to 1940, the city fell into a civil conflict that began with a ten-day uprising of peasants due to unpaid wages and spread to other parts of society, which came into conflict with their problems. Around 150 lives were lost at the end of the conflict and most of the city has been in ruins ever since.
